In 2022, nuclear power plants generated about 772 billion kilowatt hours of electricity which is enough to power 72 million homes in America.

When you bring up nuclear energy at a BBQ, most people think of Homer Simpson’s job (Safety Inspector at a Nuclear Plant) in The Simpsons OR you think of some nuclear bomb disaster that will destroy the earth or a sizable junk of it.

Nuclear energy is a form of energy that can be produced in 2 ways - 1) fission - when nuclei of atoms split into several parts OR 2) fusion - when nuclei fuse together.

AND you need Uranium (U) to fuel the nuclear power plants. We don’t pretend to be scientists at The Deputy and we aren’t Homer Simpson either. We do know that a lot of companies are forming or already performing in the nuclear energy space. This means they are hiring. Look for companies who are mining for Uranium to help nuclear energy companies or nuclear energy companies who are commercializing this energy.

Unlike more Facebook cat videos or Instagram gym selfies, we always need more energy and you can solve big problems that make the world a better place (like a cheesy 1980s rock song).
